Exacta Land Surveyors takes immense pride in the operational process behind every survey. It is our goal to exceed customer expectations by providing a high-quality survey product.
From the time of order receipt to the delivery of the final survey, our trained service representatives, field crews, technicians and professional surveyors work closely together to ensure each survey meets required standards for quality and accuracy.
Order Process:
Orders can be submitted using several methods.
- Title Companies can use our cloud-based software SurveySTARS (learn more)
- Using our Website Order / Quote Form

- Participating title agencies can use closing software that integrates directly into our Survey STARS database (learn more)
- Once your order is received, our Order Validation team will begin processing to confirm all the necessary information is available to begin research. In some cases, surveys may require a quote. A member of our team will contact you with pricing and completion time estimations. Automated emails are used for your convenience which allows for quote acceptance and online payments.

Research
- The research team gathers necessary information for our field crews and drafting teams such as; deeds, plats, arial maps, and tax information.
- Upon completion of the research, our team uses our automated SurveySTARS system to code the job as ready for the field.
Field Work
- Field crews are notified of the scheduled job, along with all the information needed to start work using STARS FieldApp.
- SurveySTARS will also notify via text messaging the home owner, real estate agent or title agent that a crew is in route.
- Our crews will notify the home occupant that they have arrived.
- Field work duration can vary in time, all dependent on the property characteristics.
- When complete, all data collected, photos and field notes are uploaded to the STARS database for immediate access by the drafters.
Drafting
- Our team of drafters use the same STARS systems to track and organize all assigned jobs.
- The progress of each job through our STARS System allows for faster completion time since all research and field data are stored for instant access (specific to each job)
Professional Review
- Upon drafting completion, the licensed surveyor assigned to the job will review all areas of the survey ensuring it meets the necessary standards and quality required for delivery.
- The professional uses a digital signature using SHA-1 standard. The SHA-1 is used to meet state regulations to authenticate our surveys. Exacta uses signature dynamic technology to authenticate our surveying and mapping work product as well as other documents electronically transmitted via STARS. Exacta’s digital authentication process generates a SHA-1 Hash code that is capable of verification by our clients and other intended users of our PDF work product. This SHA-1 Hash code is unique to each of our licensed professionals and its use is under their sole control.
- The final survey is sent electronically as a PDF via email.
- Hard copies are provided upon request.
